AACT announces open auditions for the musical
September 6 and 7 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center.
Actors, dancers, and singers aged 13 and up will be needed for this diverse cast. Set in the 1960’s, “Hairspray!”tells the story of teenage Tracy and her friends as they dance their way to celebrity and controversy on the “Corny Collins Dance Show.” No previous experience necessary. Please prepare 30 seconds of a song for vocal auditions (to be sung without accompaniment.) Auditioners will also learn a short dance sequence, so wear appropriate shoes! Production and technical help is also needed. Come to auditions to learn about opportunities to be a part of HAIRSPRAY!
Performance dates are: November 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12 at 7:00PM, and November 6 and 13 at 2:00PM.
